Frozen Embryo Transfer Patient Information Sheet Embryo Transfer Instructions

1. You may eat a light breakfast and drink clear fluids prior to embryo transfer (remember, you need a full bladder) (I have been told they can fill that bladder if need be, but it's more pleasant for you to fill it yourself wink.gif )
2. For reasons that are not completely understood, it may be helpful to have intercourse the night before your embryo transfer.
3. The night before your embryo transfer, take 2 Doxycycline at bedtime
4. The morning of your embryo transfer, take 1 or 2 Valium (for relaxation if needed), 3 Advil and 1 Albuterol one to two hours before your scheduled time of transfer.
5. Please DO NOT empty your bladder prior to arrival. A full bladder is needed for the procedure.
6. Continue taking 1 doxycycline twice a day for 2 days.
7. Continue your progesterone at the current dose. Also contineut he Estrace tablets if prescribed.
